We work one-on-one with founders through workshops and consultations to help you better understand how VC works. We prepare you to raise money.
Current state of VC for founders
This is a one-hour workshop that we deliver over zoom and share a high level look at what investors are looking for and why. We put some context around much of the 'beliefs' and hot takes that are posted all over social media.
We also explain why our other two workshops require the time they do and what value there is to you, the founder, in spending time with us.
Workshop 1/2: Understanding VC and the table you sit at
In over 15 years of helping build startups we see founders, mentors, and board members struggle to effectively communicate.
Founders often have their own ideas of how VC works and how their company fits in the VC model. Mentors have their experience and ideas as well. Board members and investors have theirs.
This workshop session is designed to help you figure out if you are on the right path and help the founder get the most of their mentors and investors.
It's based on techniques and knowledge acquired by working with 1000s of founders who've just been starting out.
Format:
- Workshop is 2 hour session that can be in person or online, one on one.
- Three 1 hour of follow-up meetings available where we work through your situation and develop a plan.
- Ongoing engagement is available.

Workshop 2/2: Making a plan that helps you build
Raise the right amount of money to build your company.
Raising money is about a lot more than a valuation. If you want people to invest in your company, you need a plan that tells a compelling story of how the money will get you somewhere.
This workshop session is designed to help you start making a plan and includes follow-up meetings to help you get started.
In the follow-up sessions we do assume that it will require some hands on help with planning.
Format:

- Four 1 hour of follow-up meetings available where we work through your situation and develop a plan.
